We are looking to appoint an Assistant Team Manager within the Practice Development Team.
 
Together for Children works on behalf of Sunderland City Council to deliver children’s services in the city. Together For Children have invested in the Signs of Safety (SofS) model of Practice and are committed to fully embedding this in every aspect of our practice. We have trained social workers in the Safe and Together model to support our interventions with families experiencing domestic abuse. We are seeking an Assistant Team Manager with extensive Signs of Safety practice experience who has the skills and drive to support the development of social workers and practice within the service.
 
You will have experience of supporting workers from across the service in undertaking assessments in Child in Need, Child Protection, Cared for Children, and Care proceedings. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Assistant Team Manager who has the passion and drive to ensure that children and young people in Sunderland achieve the best outcomes and receive high quality services. The post primarily focus on developing practice and supporting team managers with the quality assurance and oversight of work within the service and provides an excellent opportunity to develop management skills and a focus on service development. You will be expected to work collaboratively with partner agencies to provide a high level of support and intervention in response to assessed need and increase knowledge and skills of partners in relation to supporting the use of the Signs of Safety model of practice.
