Hareside Primary School is a welcoming and ambitious primary school at the heart of its community. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, committed and highly effective Deputy Headteacher to join our dedicated leadership team and help drive the next stage of our school improvement journey.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented leader who is passionate about achieving the very best outcomes for all children. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher, staff, governors, pupils and families to continue developing our inclusive culture, high expectations and commitment to excellence.
We are looking for someone who:
Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven track record of improving outcomes.
Has successful leadership experience and the ability to inspire, motivate and develop others.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and the wellbeing of pupils and staff.
Has experience of leading whole-school improvement initiatives and securing measurable impact.
Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can build strong relationships with children, families, staff and external partners.
Has high expectations of achievement, behaviour and attendance.
Is resilient, reflective and committed to continuous professional development.
The role will include:
Regularly deputising for the Headteacher while she is undertaking her role as an Ofsted Inspector
Supporting the strategic leadership and operational management of the school.
Working with the Headteacher to develop and implement the school's vision and priorities.
Leading teaching and learning to secure excellent outcomes for all pupils.
Monitoring, evaluating and improving standards across the curriculum.
Supporting staff development, coaching and performance management.
Leading on specific areas of school improvement, to be determined according to the strengths of the successful candidate.
Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead as appropriate.
