The Tyne Community Learning Trust is a unique community of 9 schools, comprising of 6 first schools, 2 middle schools and a high school, serving a semi- rural, geographically linked area for learners aged 2 – 19 years.

Ovingham Middle School is set in the small picturesque village of Ovingham, Northumberland and has served the local community since first opening its doors in 1976. The Board of Directors of Tyne Community Learning Trust, the Governing Body, staff and pupils of Ovingham Middle School are seeking to appoint a Headteacher who is an aspirational, innovative, approachable and supportive leader and who values collaboration and is able to think strategically about the future.

Your role will include:

• Leading and managing the School through effective strategic and resource planning and the creation and implementation of a school development plan.
• Leading on the day-to-day operational management within School, including the effective deployment of staff and physical resources in order to ensure that the highest quality of education provided.
• Creating, securing and sustaining outstanding teaching and effective learning throughout the School.

We are looking to appoint a Headteacher who:

• Has a proven track record of effective leadership.
• Has drive and passion for teaching and learning, the ability to motivate staff and pupils and the ambition to continue to raise standards.
• Understands and values working collaboratively with other schools to raise standards for the wider school community.
