We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Trainer to join our dedicated team providing high quality training and development to our fantastic front-line workforce.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
 
You will develop and deliver job specific and timely health and safety training and assessment for our front-line workforce.  This will include the delivery of accredited training subject to your experience and expertise.
 
You will use a variety of learning approaches dependent upon the job role and needs of the learner.  This will include training that is practical and on-site, digital, and blended. 
 
You will help us continuously meet training and development needs by evaluating training and assisting in relevant projects.
 
You will bring a wealth of health and safety legislation knowledge, and you will be supported to keep up to date with this.  This will enable you to help review our training content, working in partnership with our health and safety team.
 
Providing training to a wide range of front-line teams within a large Council means lots of variety and challenge!  This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and experience.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
 
We are looking for someone with relevant Teaching qualification together with an appropriate health and safety qualification.   You should also have an Assessor qualification and a Manual Handling Train the Trainer course OR be willing to achieve.
 
You will need experience of delivering job specific and health and safety training training, for example Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Ladders and Steps, Mobile Towers.  You should also have experience of working in a Construction or similar environment with a high level of health and safety requirements. 
 
You will have a passion for promoting a health and safety and learning culture across an organisation.
