This post is based at the centre of the council in the Resources Directorate which has key responsibility for managing the council’s money and people as well as ensuring that democratic decisions are well informed and legally sound.

The HR Advisory Teams advise managers on general day-to-day HR matters, such as job evaluation and disciplinary and grievance proceedings, as well as playing a key role in supporting complex or strategic issues, including restructures and TUPE transfers.

Successful candidates will need to have substantial previous human resources experience and be qualified to CIPD member status. The hours of work for this post are negotiable to some degree, but will be subject to the needs of service.
