The Governing Body would like to employ a cheerful and enthusiastic assistant to work in our busy school kitchen providing healthy lunchtime meals for our school community. The role involves working as part of a team to support the Cook in ensuring that all aspects of the school meals service are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.

The post is part time, 10 hours per week and is term time only. The successful candidate would be expected to start on Monday, 16 April 2018. Completed forms must be received by the school by 5.00 pm Thursday 22 February 2018 and interviews will be held on Wednesday 7 March.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
