Mental Health Employment Practitioner - full time - temporary (2yr fixed term) x 3 posts

Salary: Grade 10 £31,346 - £34,728

Job Location: Civic Centre, Crook but you may be required to work at any Council workplace within County Durham.

We are very proud to announce a much-needed opportunity to support our residents across County Durham to access mental health support and secure employment.

We have three Mental Health Employment Practitioner posts available whose role it will be to
deliver a range of health and well-being interventions to actively support clients in managing their mental health condition. Alongside offering support, guidance, and training to colleagues internal and external to Durham County Council who are working directly with clients with mental health difficulties.

The role involves carrying a caseload of clients whose mental health difficulties have impacted on their ability to seek, secure, or sustain employment and supporting them using the County Durham approach to wellbeing.

We are seeking individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds who have significant experience of working with people with Mental Health conditions and have knowledge on the impact this can have on the ability to seek and maintain employment.

Required qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area such as Health, Social Care and Education.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
