We are looking to recruit a Practice Audit and Development Officer who will develop and drive high quality, consistent practice through quality assurance and practice development activity within the children and families’ service.
 
The Practice Audit & Development Officer role will focus on the assessment, monitoring, evaluation and continual development of social care practice to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. The postholder will promote good social care practice through a programme of audit activity to ensure practice meets statutory requirements and internal practice standards.
 
The Practice Audit & Development Officer will help to drive practice learning and development through the detailed analysis of quality assurance activity, identification of recommendations to improve practice and outcomes, and the effective communication of this to influence the work of practitioners, managers and service leaders. The role will provide coaching and mentoring to colleagues across the directorate, and support the ongoing development and delivery of the authority’s “Relationships First” strengths-based practice model through sharing, shaping and delivering improvement activity, projects and workshops.

 The council holds ambassador status for the Northeast Better Health at Work Award.
