Adoption and Fostering

2 x permanent, 37 hours per week (Fostering)
1 x permanent, 14.8 hours per week (Fostering)
1 x fixed term, 37 hours per week for 9 months to cover a maternity leave (Fostering)
1 x permanent, 22.5 hours per week (Adoption)

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can work constructively to engage with foster carers and adopters who care for vulnerable children and young people.

You will have sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and excellent communication skills, experience of working with children, adoptive parents and / or foster carers, birth parents and other professionals would be advantageous. A good understanding of the Fostering Regulations and/ or Adoption Regulations, Guidance and National Minimum Standards 2011 (England) is expected.

You must have a relevant social work qualification, such as Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent, and current HCPC registration.

To apply for the progressed social worker role, you should have at least 3 to 4 years post qualifying experience and have achieved a Post Qualifying Award.
