Job Advert for Classroom Teacher (Permanent Position)
St Benedict’s Primary Catholic Voluntary Academy
Start Date: September 2018

Classroom teacher with additional TLR 2A responsibility for Teaching and Learning MPS 5+ Governors, staff and children would like to appoint an effective, talented and inspiring teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning.
You will work in a friendly and supportive environment that aims to provide an excellent education for our children.

St Benedict’s became part of The Nicholas Postgate Academy Trust in September 2015 and works closely with other schools within the Trust, we are soon to be part of a larger Catholic Academy Trust in September 2018.

We are looking for someone who:
• Is nurturing and committed to contributing to our caring and Catholic ethos
• Has high expectations of pupil's achievement and behaviour
• Is able to work effectively as part of a team and lead a team in all aspects of teaching and learning to ensure policies and practise are delivered with the highest of expectations.
• Is interested in developing leadership skills
• Can provide a dynamic and stimulating learning environment to engage and challenge pupils to ensure effective and outstanding teaching is demonstrated.
• Evaluate pupils’ progress, achievement and attainment, and report to the SLT
• Lead by example in all areas of the curriculum
• Is sympathetic to the Catholic ethos of our parish school
• Aims for excellence at all times
• Set high expectations for pupils’ behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships
• Excellent understanding of assessment for learning
