Required as soon as possible and will be reviewed March 2019 or if child was to move schools, whichever was to happen first.

Experience of supporting SEND children 1:1

To work under the instruction/guidance of senior/teaching staff to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching and to help raise standards of achievement for all pupils;

To encourage the participation of pupils in the social and academic processes of the school, and enable pupils to become more independent learners.

To undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

Experience of liaising with SENDCo, parents, external agencies and attending SEND meetings

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Essential Qualifications:
• A teaching assistant qualification at NVQ Level 3 relevant to the Key Stage or its equivalent or relevant qualifications at NVQ Level 3 in Child Care/Foundation.
• Good Numeracy/Literacy skills – GSCE Maths & English (minimum grade C or higher/equivalent) 5 GCSEs including English and Maths.
