Level 2 Teaching Assistants: 6 positions (3 permanent roles and 3 temporary roles)
32.5 hours per week,
Term Time working plus 5 days.
St John’s is a very inclusive school with a caring Christian ethos and you will need to share our passion to provide the very best education and outcomes for our children here. From September 2024 we are opening specialist provision for Reception aged pupils with SEND.
We require six Teaching Assistants to join our team: some to work in mainstream and some in our specialist provision:
Mainstream:
We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and hardworking teaching assistants who will have passion for making a difference. The successful candidates must:
- be flexible to work across school and join a team approach to support teaching and learning
- have knowledge and experience of supporting children in different key stages
- have a good understanding of the national curriculum;
- have experience of working in a primary school;
- have a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team;
- have the ability to think on their feet and use their initiative;
- be able to offer a warm, supportive and respectful relationship with children, parents and staff;
- be motivated, passionate and reflective about their work.
Specialist:
We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and hardworking teaching assistants who will have passion for making a difference. The successful candidates must:

- have experience of working with primary aged children;
- have a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team;
- have the ability to think on their feet and use their initiative;

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check along with other relevant employment checks including a social media and internet search.
