Hartlepool Borough Council has been appointed as the Lead Body by Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) for the Connect to Work Supported Employment Programme. As such, the Council is responsible for ensuring successful management and delivery of the programme across Tees Valley. Connect to Work will support disabled people, people with health conditions and those with complex barriers to get into or remain in work. The programme will support more than 5,000 people over the period to 2030 and is being delivered by a range of providers across Tees Valley.  
 
As a key member of the Programme Management Team, the Finance and Administration Officer will play an important role in supporting the effective delivery of the programme. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, processing and storing financial information, and providing administrative support to ensure robust financial management. The Council manages multiple Sub-contractors who must provide financial returns, the post holder will ensure all returns meet eligibility criteria and relevant supporting evidence for validity. The post holder will directly support the Employment Coordinator to collate the financial records for submission and audit.
 
As a Finance & Admin Officer working as part of the Programme Management Team the post holder will support the team with administrative duties. They will support the Contract Officers in creating, updating and monitoring the key performance indicators recording records for all sub-contractors.
