We want to recruit bank staff to work within our childrens homes and join our dedicated, driven and committed staff teams.
 
Children’s Joint Commissioning Services are recruiting for bank staff across our homes although you will be attached to one home where you will receive supervision, support and training there will be an expectation you work where required.   
 
As a Residential Social Care Officer you will possess a passion for working with children, and support them to develop skills enabling them to build a positive future. You will support children to access and participate in activities, trips and hobbies.
In addition you will be expected to display a strong team spirit, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work across internal departments and with external agencies.

Applicants must have
  • NVQ / QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent, or a willingness to complete this qualification when in post.
  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Previous experience of working in a supportive capacity to give practical assistance to children and their families
  • Previous experience of working in a supportive environment with children or adults  
  • A positive attitude and ability to understand trauma informed practice
  • A willingness to work unsocial hours which will include early mornings, evenings, sleep overs, weekends and bank holidays
