Active Sunderland Weight Management Support Officer
37 hours per week, Fixed Term to 31 March 2029.
Monday to Friday, including evenings and some occasional weekend working
Are you passionate about helping people achieve a healthier weight and make lasting changes to their health?
Active Sunderland is looking for a Weight Management Support Officer to deliver a community-based healthy weight programme that supports adults to reach a healthy weight, become more active and improve their overall health and wellbeing.
Through one-to-one appointments, practical advice and ongoing encouragement, you'll help people develop healthier habits, overcome barriers and make sustainable changes.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver one-to-one appointments over a 26-week programme.
- Support adults to achieve and maintain a healthier weight.
- Provide advice and guidance on healthy eating, physical activity, and wellbeing.
- Deliver weekly health education and low-intensity physical activity sessions.
- Build relationships with health and community partners to promote the programme and encourage referrals.
- Record and monitor outcomes to demonstrate the impact of the programm
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, approachable and experienced in supporting behaviour change. You'll have experience of delivering one-to-one support, and motivating people to make positive, sustainable changes to improve their health.
