As part of a multi-agency service the successful applicant will be required to be a key source of professional advice and expertise in relation to Youth Justice Services. Applicants will expected to be experienced in case management and demonstrate proven ability to undertake assessments of young people involved in the Criminal Justice System, effectively managing risk and safeguarding issues.

A key requirement of this post is the ability, knowledge and experience to support colleagues in carrying out their role and duties - through quality assurance, work allocation, feedback, monitoring and daily operational supervision of YJS staff managing statutory YOS cases.

You will require:-

A professional qualification (such as Social work, Probation, Education, Health, youth service or Police); Experience of the Criminal Justice System and working with young people and their families; Ability to prepare high quality assessments and reports for Court, Knowledge of relevant Criminal Justice and Safeguarding legislation; Ability to work under pressure and to maintain tight deadlines.

The ability to liaise and work co-operatively with other agencies/professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people is essential. Recent experience of working within a multi agency setting and of undertaking quality assurance and contributing to performance improvement and development is also required.
