Sunderland Councils Learning and Skills Service are an 'Ofsted' good provider of Further Education and Training.

We are looking to appoint a Quality Monitoring Officer to undertake appropriate quality assurance arrangements and support continuous development, delivery and evaluation of all contracts held by the Learning and Skills Service. We deliver a range of accredited and non-accredited provision funded via ESFA/ESF and other funding streams across Sunderland and the wider Region.

Key responsibilities include, undertaking observations of teaching learning and assessment, supporting the Learning and Skills Service assessment centre which delivers Apprenticeship Standards, measuring performance and identifying any areas of weakness, recommending, and implementing improvements, report writing and interviewing learners and employers.

The new Government Regulations, that require all persons working in or entering Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulated care homes to be fully vaccinated, apply to this role. The successful post holder will be required to provide evidence they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (unless medically exempt) as a condition of employment.

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
