Highfield Middle School is a proud school serving the equally proud community of Prudhoe in Northumberland. Our school has a very positive ethos where all individuals are respected and valued, regardless of age, background or beliefs. We are determined that all pupils will be given equal opportunities to thrive and succeed, and we will challenge and support them to overcome all potential barriers to learning. We aim to provide the highest standards of education and value academic excellence, pupil wellbeing and personal development in equal measure.

Would you like to join our team at Highfield Middle School as Site Manager?

Are you organised, hardworking, handy and dedicated?
Do you work well in a team and show a positive attitude towards others?
Are you a good communicator with a great sense of humour?
Do you have a ‘can do’ attitude and take pride in your work?

We are looking to appoint an experienced and capable Site Manager who can ensure that Highfield Middle School is a safe and vibrant environment in which to learn, play and work. We want our premises and domestic provision to offer the same high standards and ambition that we have for education at Highfield. The role does not come with a residential property on site.

Our school is very successful and popular, with a positive ethos and work ethic. Highfield was deemed to be a good school in our last Ofsted inspection in July 2018.

Start date 8th June or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are part of the Tyne Community Learning Trust. You will work closely alongside the central team and the other caretakers/site managers across our trust.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced criminal records check is required for this post.

We are strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. If you are invited for interview, you will be required to disclose all unspent convictions and those that would not be filtered, prior to the date of the interview. You may be asked for further information about your criminal history during the recruitment process. If your application is successful, this self-disclosure information will be checked against information from the Disclosure and Barring Service before your appointment is confirmed. This role will include Regulated Activities and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure is required for this post.

Visits to the school prior to interview are very welcome. Please contact Jenny Jewitt (School Manager) to arrange a visit:
