Are you or have you previously worked as a Senior/Lead Children’s Commissioning Manager with experience of Quality Assuring Children’s regulated and unregulated Service?
 
We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager with quality assurance knowledge and experience to join our senior management team who will provide strategic leadership throughout the whole commissioning cycle. This will include the management and development of the local children’s services market and embedding the quality assurance framework for all services within the portfolio.
 
About the Role:
The postholder will oversee all aspects of commissioning and quality assurance of the Children’s Social Care Commissioned Service. You will take responsibility for engaging with partners, stakeholders, services and the market to ensure effective support for the sufficiency and commissioning strategies and to include delivery of specific projects. You will work together with partners to improve outcomes for children, young people and families; ensuring commissioned services are needs led and cost effective.
 
You will be responsible for workforce management, performance and quality management;
 
You will be responsible for ensuring the Childrens commissioning and quality assurance processes are Ofsted inspection ready.
 
Working with your team and people using to commission appropriate services, You will lead the commissioning and quality assurance team, stakeholders, including service users on to  review and maintain systems and processes to ensure they adhere to all Ofsted requirements and South Tyneside Council’s vision and strategies.

About You:
Provide vision and leadership and direction for the CYP and family Commissioning portfolio to ensure services across South Tyneside meet Strategic and holistic needs.
 
You will provide senior line management and effective, visible leadership, to secure and sustain cultural change and to ensure that services perform well in line with the corporate agenda.
 
You will provide leadership, people management, development, health, and wellbeing issues and maximising the resources of the Commissioning and Quality Assurance team.
 
You will have experience of driving continuous improvement, best value, and quality within services by challenging existing practice to ensure it meets with local, national, professional and regulatory standards.
 
You will provide senior leadership across the commissioning and quality portfolios ensure the delivery of improved service outcomes, value for money and financial savings are achieved.
