We have an exciting opportunity at Richardson Dees for a Deputy Headteacher (non-classed based) from September 2024. They will be an outstanding practitioner, have excellent social skills and demonstrate the ability to work creatively, innovatively, and when required, under pressure. They will be passionate about education and young people and will be committed to working with and developing others, including staff and students alike. Above all, they will love working with young people and adults.
 
The Deputy Head Teacher will carry out the duties of this post in line with the remit outlined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document including the conditions of employment for Deputy Head Teacher.
 
Under the overall direction of the Headteacher, the Deputy Head Teacher will play a lead role in:
 
  • Strategic leadership and management
  • Leadership and management of pupils’ attainment and progress
  • Leadership and management of staff
  • Leadership and management of the curriculum
  • Leadership of learning and teaching
  • Leadership and management of pastoral care and safeguarding
