The school received its second ‘Good’ from Ofsted in June 2018, but does in fact have many outstanding features. It is a highly successful comprehensive school, with consistently above national average results.

As part of BSF the school had an £8.5 million refurbishment so facilities are state of the art. There is also a floodlit, FA standard, 3G multi purpose sports facility on site which will support both the development of school and community sport. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Durham County Council is an Equal Opportunities Employer. We want to develop a more diverse workforce and we positively welcome applications from all sections of the community. Applicants with disabilities will be invited for interview if the essential job criteria are met.
