If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen to support The Horizon School- Hartlepool’s Pupil Referral Unit’s approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
You will work in close collaboration with senior leaders, pastoral staff and outside agencies to improve outcomes for our young people. This will include supporting attendance at school, identifying barriers to attending school, raising standards and co-ordinating appropriate, effective alternative education provision.
You will have an understanding of the barriers to attendance at school in particular social, emotional and mental health needs and strategies to be able to support young people and their families.
You will be able to evidence your successful track record of working with pupils and parents/carers to improve outcomes for attendance and engagement.
You will ideally have experience of working within the secondary school sector, pupil referral unit or similar education setting.
