If so, Horizon School, Hartlepool Pupil Referral Unit are looking for Teaching assistants to guide the learning of pupils (Key Stage 3 and 4) in both a 1:1 and classroom capacity. Students within Horizon may be facing a variety of challenges that have meant that they have not had successful experiences within mainstream schools.

They may have damaged or low self-esteem, social and emotional problems or additional special education needs. As a result, they may not be working at an age-appropriate educational level. As a Teaching assistant, you will work to mentor students and support them to maximise their progress and achievement.
  
This Teaching Assistant role is based in a supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Hartlepool who prioritise student and staff wellbeing. You’ll join a flexible staff team delivering a range of teaching and learning interventions to pupils.
