In order to support South Tyneside Council’s vision and to provide excellent services to our communities we ensure that all our employees are skilled and trained to help them to continue to improve the quality of life for everyone living in the Borough.
We have an extensive corporate and bespoke training programme which gives all employees access to a range of modules and qualifications which helps support their professional and personal development.
There are a number of elements to the programme:
Over 120 modules ranging from health and safety, wellbeing, management to personal skills development
Helping new employees settle into their new role and gain an understanding of how the Council operates
1. Bespoke inhouse 12-18 month programme
2. Qualifications – MBA level 7
3. Coaching and Mentoring
1. In house - virtual and face to face training
2. Qualifications – ILM3/5
Wellbeing and Resilience training – ensuring we have a healthy workforce who feel supported
Health and Safety training –
keeping everyone up to date with legislation and operating safely at work
Qualifications including apprenticeship opportunities
General training and service specific training and maintaining CPD
