Senior Communications Officer (Internal and Corporate)

The North East Mayoral Strategic Authority are looking for a communications professional who can turn strategy into meaningful conversations.

Whether it's helping colleagues understand priorities, bringing their vision to life through compelling campaigns, or ensuring people feel connected to the work that matters, you'll play a central role in shaping how the organisation communicates.

You'll lead engaging internal communications across the organisation, helping colleagues stay informed, connected and engaged with their vision and priorities.

Communications and Marketing Manager (The Great North)
Salary: £57,438 - £61,017 • Closing date 1st November

We're looking for a communications professional to help put the North on the global stage. 

The Great North is a partnership of northern mayors working together to grow the economy and strengthen the North's profile across the UK and internationally. The North East MSA is the lead body for the partnership.   

As Communications Manager, you'll lead media relations, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications for this ambitious programme. You'll support major initiatives including high profile events and campaigns working with partners across the north, with government and the private sector, to generate media coverage, increase digital engagement and build support among key audiences.

Could you help businesses thrive in North East England?

The North East Mayoral Strategic Authority are looking for a creative and strategic communications and marketing professional to lead engagement with businesses across the North East and drive awareness of the new region-wide business support service - Business North East.
 
You'll lead communications, marketing and engagement activity across the organisation's business growth portfolio, with a particular focus on launching and growing Business North East. 

Working with local authorities and business support partners, you'll deliver integrated campaigns, manage digital channels, promote events and help businesses connect with the support they need to grow. 

You'll also oversee communications for programmes including Shine, regeneration and inward investment activity, and support engagement with our Business Advisory Council and industry leaders.
