Based at Nexus Rail Headquarters, Newcastle upon Tyne, you will assist in the provision, installation and maintenance of all electric point heaters and associated equipment and service supply.
You will be qualified to a minimum of BTEC National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, and ideally have previous railway experience. You will be working within the Signalling Department. You will be capable of taking instructions and be able to work alone or as part of a team. It is also essential that you are computer literate and hold a full current UK Driving Licence.
There is a requirement for Standby & call out with this post. You will also be required to undertake training in Railway Signalling both on and off Nexus Premises.
It is desirable that you have served a recognised apprenticeship in electrical Engineering and have knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems as well as knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety.
